All hands on deck in Daisy Hill

The team planted trees and lots of spring bulbs thanks to funding through the councillors who are passionate about improving the area. By Spring 2023, residents will see a big difference around their homes when the bulbs start to appear, and the trees start to flourish. Additional work carried out in partnership with YHN includes strimming and edging the grass back from paths as well a general estate tidy up.

A few residents in the Daisy Hill area stopped the teams on site to say: “It already looks so much tidier, and the paths are much easier for us to walk on now. The team have done a great job.”

Lynn Waters, regeneration manager at YHN, said: “We’re delighted to see how much of a difference the work has already made to the area, and we can’t wait to see the end result in the Spring. We want people to be proud of their neighbourhoods they live in and hopefully these improvements will make a huge difference.”

The team will be back onsite in Spring to see the difference in the area.
