YHN’s Caretaker service is responsible for managing all of our tower blocks across the city, keeping them clean, tidy and safe and listening to customers who provide feedback on the block. There are three elements to the Housing Caretaker role which are:
  • Caretakers in blocks, who help to keep high rise blocks clean, safe and tidy (they’re there from 8.30am-4.30pm)
  • Mobile caretakers, who take care of environmental work on our estates, including litter picking and fly-tipping
  • 24/7 caretakers, who have the same duties as the other caretakers, but are available for emergencies and responsive work.
