How to register and use 'my account'
Using 'my account', you can access a range of Your Homes Newcastle and Newcastle City Council online services in one place.
Our 24/7 self-serve portal is an easy and quick way for you to manage your tenancy anytime, any day, with any device.
Registration
Simply register your details to sign up to 'my account' and in minutes you will have access to a range of online services.
It works best in Chrome browser and all you need is a personal email address, which we will verify by sending a 6-digit code to your inbox.
Once you’ve received and entered the code, click verify and you will be required to create a password and enter your name. Once created you will see you are now logged into My Account.
You can now navigate My Account with our user-friendly homepage that allows you to easily find the service you need.
Select 'Your Homes Newcastle' to access our online services.
If you’re new to 'my account', you will be asked to select whether you are the main or joint tenant named on a current tenancy agreement with us, or alternatively, if you lease a home, need access to previous rent accounts you once held with us, or if you rent a garage from us.
I'm a leaseholder, I rent a garage or I am a former tenant
As a first-time user you will be required to create an account for further verification purposes and help us protect your personal information.
Or if you have registered previously, simply sign in using your email address and password.
You will only be required to do this on your first time. When you return to My Account, simply login once and with one click you’re ready to go!
From here you can select from a number of service options including accessing previous rent account information, leasehold service charge accounts, making a payment and updating your personal contact details.
I live in a YHN managed property and I'm named on the tenancy
If you are registering as a tenant for the first time, you will be asked to input your name, date of birth and payment reference number, so that we can securely verify who you are.
From here you can select from a number of online service options.
As a first-time user to ‘Manage my Tenancy’ you will be required to create an account for further verification purposes and help us protect your personal information. Or, if you have registered previously, simply sign in using your email address and password.
You will only be required to do this on your first time. When you return to My Account, simply login once and with one click you’re ready to go!
From here you can:
- Check your latest rent account balance and make a payment, knowing exactly where you are with your rent
- Update your contact details, so YHN can keep you up to date with our services.
- Book a non-emergency repair for your home - update your phone number and then view the range of non-emergency repairs available
- Get in touch direct with the service you need through one of our online ‘contact us’ forms or by using the ‘Find my Officer’ contact feature.
