We are continuing to deliver our front-line services for our Housing Plus and Leazes Homes customers, with additional measures put in place for the safety of residents and staff.

Meetings with your Housing Plus Officer

Our Housing Plus and Supported Living Officers will be resuming their usual office hours in all our schemes, with additional safety precautions in place.

To help us to comply with social distancing guidelines, we ask that residents please arrange meetings with your Housing Plus/Supported Living Officer by appointment only.

You will be able to use your intercom or telephone to contact your Officer and make an appointment. They will inform you of an appropriate place where the meeting can take place this may need to be in a larger, more ventilated area, such as the communal lounge.

Welfare calls

The return of staff to our schemes means that the daily welfare calls that we introduced during lockdown will end from Friday 31st July.

We understand that these have been of great help to many of our residents during lockdown and that residents who previously did not opt to receive a daily call from our Officers may wish to do so now.

If this is the case, please contact your Housing Plus/Supported Living Officer to let them know so that they can add you to our daily call list.

Protective measures

You may have noticed that we have already installed signage, posters and hand sanitisers to help you comply with social distancing measures.

In preparation for our staff return, we may create a staff only bathroom facility where possible and some facilities may be closed for resident use so please take note of the signage that is on display.

Communal facilities

Our communal lounges will remain closed to residents and visitors for the time being. This is because current regulations only permit members of two households to meet indoors, and that your Housing Plus/Supported Living Officer may need to use the space to safely hold a meeting with a resident.

We will keep this under constant review and will inform you of any guidance changes.

Visitors In order to protect some of our most vulnerable residents, we ask that friends and family please avoid visiting at this time unless they are part of a support bubble with a resident or their visit is essential. We know this is an extremely difficult ask, but self-isolation is the most important way to keep these customers safe.

All visitors and staff who have had confirmed contact with a positive case are asked not visit the scheme for a 14 day period, even if only required to isolate for the standard 10 day period.

House meetings and activities

Due to the restrictions still currently in place, our usual scheme activities will not be resuming, and house meetings will not take place for the time being. We are looking into possible alternative activities that we can manage safely, such as holding activities in the garden with smaller groups or providing support to customers who would like to take part in online activities, and would welcome your suggestions if you would like to pass these on to your Housing Plus/Supported Living Officer.
