From charity champions to business leaders, amazing women across the region were celebrated for their inspiration community work at this year’s Glass Slipper Awards.

YHN were proud to sponsor this year’s North East Champion category, created to honour the talented individuals who are making a real difference in ensuring that the North East remains one of the UK’s leading cities and an inspiring place to live and work.

Managing Director Tina Drury was there to announce the category finalists and present the award to winner Lynn McManus, a remarkable women who founded charity group Pathways 4 All a decade ago. The charity’s popular resource centre provides a safe space to enhance the lives of children, young people and families with special needs and disabilities seven days a week.

Now in its 8th year, the Glass Slipper Awards, held by the Sunshine Fund, celebrate inspiration women from across the North East, recognising their achievements in their communities, in business and in charity.
