Tenant's Handbook

Tenancy AgreementAll Your Homes Newcastle tenants sign a tenancy agreement and receive a copy of our Tenant's Handbook.

Tenancy Agreement

You will sign and receive a copy of this agreement when you move into your home.  You can see what this agreement looks like by downloading a copy here.

Please note that we work out your rent on a 49-week year (or 50-week year), not on a 50-week year (or 51-week year) as stated on page 6 of the Tenancy Agreement.

It is a condition of your tenancy that, whenever it may end, we cannot change how we work out your rent.  In other words, we cannot work it out on a 52-week (or 53-week) basis.

Tenant's Handbook

As well as outlining your tenancy conditions, the handbook contains information on your rights and responsibilities as a tenant and our rights and responsibilities as your landlord. It will help you settle into your new home and help answer any questions.

The handbook is made up of the documents listed below.  You can download the documents here or pick up a copy from any Community Housing Office.

Introductory tenancies

Some tenancies are granted on a trial or ‘introductory’ basis.  Introductory tenants here have slightly less rights than secure tenants for the first twelve months of their tenancy.  Click here to read about introductory tenancies.
