The Westerhope bungalow site is situated on the popular Hillheads estate, to the west of the city. It consists of 48 one bedroom bungalows linked to the Community Care Alarm service equipment and the Resident bungalow warden.

What will my bungalow be like?

Each bungalow has its own lounge, fitted kitchen, shower-room and bedroom. All bungalows have a rear garden, which is maintained by the tenant, and an open plan front garden maintained by the city council. There are warden call alarm pull cords in each room that link to the warden or the CCAS giving 24 hour cover in case of emergency.

How much will it cost?

The average rent for a bungalow in a sheltered scheme is about £42 per week .The service will cost you about £11 a week. This does not include the charge for general maintenance of the building such as cleaning the shared areas. We include the cost of the service in your rent. We will tell you if we change the charge and we try to keep the cost as low as possible.
