Wansbeck House

Wansbeck House is a sheltered housing scheme situated in
Lemington, a very quiet area west of Newcastle upon Tyne,
approximately six miles from the city centre. The scheme is
serviced by a regular bus route and has many social activities run
by the tenants.

What will my flat be like?

The scheme contains 30 flats in its own spacious grounds. The 24
studio flats each have a bathroom, kitchen, with a cooker and
fridge provided, and a bed/sitting room. The six one bedroom flats
contain the same as the studio flats but have a living room and
single bedroom instead of a bed/sitting room.
How much will it cost?
The average rent for a flat in a sheltered scheme is about £42
per week .The service will cost you about £11 a week. This does not
include the charge for general maintenance of the building such as
cleaning the shared areas. We include the cost of the service in
your rent. We will tell you if we change the charge and we try to
keep the cost as low as possible.
