Bamburgh House is situated on the Hillheads estate, Westerhope, to the west of the city. The one-bedroom flats have their own lounge, bedroom, bathroom and wc. There is a fitted kitchen with its own cooker and fridge supplied. One-person apartments have a lounge/bedroom combined. Each flat has a number of warden call pull cords, which link each resident to the CCAS Control Room in case of emergency. Your Sheltered Housing Officer will show you how to operate this equipment.

How much will it cost?

The average rent for a flat in a sheltered scheme is about £65 per week .The service will cost you about £11.61 a week.  This does not include the charge for general maintenance of the building such as cleaning the shared areas.  We include the cost of the service in your rent.  We will tell you if we change the charge and we try to keep the cost as low as possible.
