Newcastle Furniture Service (NFS)
NFS (Newcastle Furniture Service) was set up in 1989
to help council tenants settle into their homes by providing
some essential items of furniture.
The service has since expanded into the largest furnished tenancy
provider in the UK - we currently support over
11,000 households.
How can we help you?
The service is available to you when you first take up a tenancy
with Your Homes Newcastle. We will supply you with items
of furniture in exchange for a weekly payment that is
added to your rent.
The choice of furniture items available range from sofas, beds
and washing machines to microwaves, crockery and cutlery.
And that's not all...
We also provide child safety equipment free of charge to
families on a low income or means tested benefit living in
Newcastle and a garden care service to YHN tenants.
