Free Telecare for over 85s
Peace of mind at the touch of a button
Your Homes Newcastle is working together with Newcastle City
Council to provide services which help people feel safer at home,
so that they can live confidently and independently even if they
are worried about falls, health problems or security.
Our Telecare and response services can give you and your family
peace of mind because it allows you to call for help anywhere in
your home at any time of day or night, simply by pressing a
button. When you press your button, you are connected to our
24-hour Response Centre and you can speak to our trained Response
Officers who will offer you advice, call your family, friends or
doctor, and send our Mobile Wardens or the emergency services if
you need them.
The offer
If you live in Newcastle and you are aged 85 or over,
you can get 6 months of telecare service for
free*.
This includes:
After your 6 month free trial:
- There is no obligation to continue service
- People receiving Housing Benefit may continue to receive the
service for free
- People not receiving Housing Benefit may need to pay a small
weekly charge, starting from as little as £3.10
If you need a higher level of service during or after your 6
month free trial we will contact you and help you choose the right
equipment and service level.
