No 1 Neighbour Awards
2008 Finalists and Winners
Organised in partnership with the Evening Chronicle, council
tenants and leaseholders living in the region are all eligible for
the No 1 Neighbour Awards which recognise and reward the
contribution that great neighbours can make to communities.
The winner of the No 1 Neighbour of the Year award took
home £1,000 and a hand crafted trophy at a ceremony hosted by
radio and television personality Kathy Secker.
We had over 100 nominations for this year’s awards and as ever
we have been impressed by outstanding work and enthusiasm shown by
individuals across Newcastle who really do make the city a better
place to live. The common trait that all the entrants showed was
exceptional commitment, dedication and effort.
