A day in the life profile

Housing Services Assistant
7am
Still in bed!
8am – 10am
Arrive at work just after 8am for a cup of tea!
Check e-mails and respond to my messages from
the previous day including an urgent call to Mrs Jones about
the noise complaint she made about tenants in number 52.
10am – 11am
1:1 meeting with my manager Stella to discuss
the past month. Spoke to Stella about my request to attend the
intermediate Excel training course that is being run by
Organisational Development.
11am – 12.30pm
Cover on reception
12.30pm – 1pm
Dinner break
1pm – 3pm
Estate walk-about with Steve, my Housing
Services Officer. I spoke to a few tenants about the rubbish on the
green and told them that enviro-call would be collecting it next
Wednesday.
I spoke to 5 people who confirmed that they
would be attending the Tenant Liaison Meeting tomorrow night.
3pm – 4.30pm
I worked through administration in tray; 3 new
applications to put on system, 2 sets of ‘Decoration Vouchers’
processed, 5 letters sent – A quiet day!
4.30pm – 5pm
I finish off outstanding admin and write a to-do list ready
for tomorrow. Quite a long day, but picked up a bit of flexi time
to go toward my day off on Friday!
