I have worked for YHN for over 15 months as a Debt Recovery
Assistant. During my time with YHN I have been positively

A day in the life
My day within the Debt Recovery team is very
varied and comprises both office-based work and conducting
external visits to customers. I always start my working day
by checking my emails and calendar to see if I have any
appointments, specific accounts to check or any training courses to
At the beginning of the working week I am allocated a set amount
of work - this workload will last me for the week and comprises of
either letters, telephone calls or visits to customers. The areas
that I cover when conducting visits can take me as far as Durham or
Blyth so having a car is a paramount to me getting around.
My normal working day consists of
08:30 – 09:15
Finalise or conduct visits, check emails and calendar
09:15 – 16:00
Conduct visits to leaseholders, tenants and former tenants or
attend training courses.
16:00 – 16:30
Return to YHN house to update customer accounts and action
