A day in the life profile
Daniel McGarrie - Mobile Warden (Pool Staff)
I always start my working day with a shift
handover which involves discussing any issues on the previous shift
and most importantly any incidents which may require further
action.
Once handover has been completed, I then begin
reading my daily worksheet which enables me to prioritise my
workload. The role is very unpredictable due to the nature of the
service and therefore prioritising your workload is paramount.
When my routine work s complete, I visit
clients in their homes to review their support plan which ensures
we always have the most up to date information as possible. I
obtain all the relevant support plans prior to going out in the
city.
When mobile in the city, I am always available
for any type of job whether it is an emergency call or a routine
task such as changing a client’s pendant.
