Newcastle Futures logoYHN is working in partnership with Newcastle Futures to offer practical advice and support to help people in Newcastle get into work or training. 

Newcastle Futures Customer Co-ordinators are available in YHN community housing offices across the city to provide a voluntary one-to-one advice and guidance service for customers.  

What sort of help does Newcastle Futures offer?

A Newcastle Futures Customer Co-ordinator can offer you one-to-one help to find employment.  They will help you think about your previous experience and identify the skills you have, and you'll create an action plan together which sets out the steps needed to help you get to where you want to be.  This might include updating your CV, accessing funding to do training courses, and applying for jobs.

Getting ready for work

Don't worry if you don't feel confident enough to apply for jobs straightaway, your Customer Co-ordinator can work with you to build up your confidence.  Newcastle Futures works with sixteen partner organisations that offer all sorts of training courses which can help you build your confidence.  You can also access free basic maths and English training.
