Everybody needs help sometimes.  The Advice and Support team can help you stay in your home.  Our aim is to prevent homelessness and help people sustain their tenancies.

We’re there if you:

• need benefits advice
• need debt counselling
• need help moving into your new home
• have rent arrears problems.

We want to:

• help you stay in your tenancy
• help you access accommodation
• help you set up and run your home well
• help refugees that have been given right to remain in the UK
• prevent homelessness.

We play a major part in the Newcastle Homelessness Forum, and have contributed to many of the policies and procedures they have helped put in place to improve housing services.  Visit the National Homelessness Forum's page in Newcastle City Council's website
