You said, we did
At Your Homes Newcastle we listen to what you, our customers,
have to say about our services. We use what you tell us to
make improvements to the services we provide.
This section of the website tells you how we have used your
feedback to change and improve our services.
You made a difference - July 2012
Every time you get involved, we tell you how your involvement
has made a difference. Here are some examples of how you have
recently helped us to improve our services for all of our
customers.
- In our garden care discussion group, you told us we need more
staff in the summer when the grass is growing. We agree, so
we are taking on four more gardeners this year.
- In our You’ve got the Power focus group, you said we should put
a video blog on the website so that people who can’t come to the
event can still get information online. We thought it was a great
idea so in June we made our first ever You’ve got the Power video
blog, with lots of information about the 11 great projects that
were shortlisted this year.
- In our You’ve got the Power focus group, you said we should
have a project that helps get people back into work and also makes
links with large businesses. The United for Employment project was
one of the winners at this year’s event. It will provide training
opportunities and work placements with Newcastle United and their
key sponsors.
- We asked Black African customers how we can get more feedback
from their community on Modern Homes work. We now make sure we
include Black Africans in our sample when we carry out our Modern
Homes satisfaction surveys.
- At our ‘Your estate, your say’ event you said that more work
needed to be done to check the quality of work on estates. We have
now set up a dedicated team of 30 customers who will check the
standard of services on estates. They will focus on grounds
maintenance and street cleaning.
