Ground rules

Attending a meeting?  Please follow our involvement ground rules.

The aim of these ground rules is to make sure that meetings run smoothly and that they are a positive experience for everyone who gets involved.

At meetings we ask customers to:

  • Switch off mobile phones!
  • Trust each other.
  • Respect and value the contributions of each other.
  • Give everyone a chance to express their opinion.
  • Encourage each other to contribute.
  • Not interrupt each other or talk over anyone.
  • Listen to each other.
  • Signal to the rest of the group when we want to speak.
  • Try and stick to the agenda.
  • Not discriminate against each other.
  • Not to use language or behaviour that may offend or upset other group members.
  • Work together to achieve our goal.
  • Be respectful to everyone, including staff.

If you have broken your tenancy agreement before the meeting you may not be able to take part depending on how serious it is. We also ask that you do not use drugs or alcohol before or during the meeting.
