£50,000 - Make a choice, make it happen!

We have £50,000 up for grabs to support community projects in Newcastle. 

There are 10 projects to choose from and all tenants and leaseholders can vote for their five favourites.

The projects

1. Community Payback - working with the Probation Service to offer community projects that will improve YHN estates.
2. Eco Electric Pedals - a fun, interactive and educational project to engage the community in energy efficiency.
3. Helping Hands - a project to help vulnerable tenants who are moving home by offering a packing and removal service.
4. The Generation Game - an intergenerational project bringing young and older people together using Rookie Golf in local schools and YHN sheltered schemes.
5. Community Clean Up - providing skips on local estates to make our streets and green areas cleaner and more attractive.
6. Green Living Project - Riverside Dene - a project to get residents involved in horticulture, conservation and improving the environment.
7. Stop the Noise - providing extra equipment to help monitor noise nuisance.
8. Benefit Busters - a project to make sure that tenants are getting all the benefits they are entitled to.
9. Start Something Good! - a unique range of training courses for customers to develop new skills, working in the community and business enterprise.
10. Bin Busy Cleaning - bin chute cleaning in our multistory blocks to give tenants a safer, cleaner and fresher environment.
