Dancing fun for free in February half term
Try something new - have fun this February and learn a simple
‘Hip-Hop’ or ‘Bollywood’ dance at a special event, totally
free!
Your Homes Newcastle's Community Care Alarm Service (CCAS) has
organised another dance event for people of all ages to take part
in. The event follows on from the hugely successful
intergenerational dance display at The Gate for UK Older People’s
Day last year.
Bring your friends or family and choose from a session in the
East or West of the city:
- 1:00pm – 4:00pm Thursday 19th February at the Lightfoot Centre,
Wharrier Street, Walker
- 1:00pm – 4:00pm Friday 20th February at the Westgate Centre for
Sport, West Road, Fenham
There's a relaxed and fun atmosphere – all ages and abilities
welcome! Experienced dance teachers and students from the
Newcastle Dance Centre will be on hand too.
Free light lunch and free transport from your nearest YHN sheltered
housing scheme is also available.
You must call the Community Care Alarm Service on 0191 278
8699 to book your place by Monday 16th February. Places are
limited but friends and family members are welcome for early
callers!
