600 volunteers needed for Guinness World Record attempt at Palatine Beds

Palatine Beds is aiming to break a World Record on 2nd October 2010 by organising the Largest Human Mattress Dominoes topple – the target is 301.

This is where you come in!

Palatine Beds needs 600 volunteers (men, women and children) – you must be over 4’11/150cm tall to participate.  All volunteers will either participate in the mattress topple or will help each participant while we are setting the domino line up prior to the topple. 

We are hoping to beat the current Guinness World Record of 256 participants set in China on 25th May 2010.

When and where?

• 9am to 12 noon
• Saturday 2nd October 2010 
• Newcastle Furniture Service, Unit 5, Greenfinch Way, Gateway West, Newburn Riverside, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE15 8NX.

What else?

Palatine Beds is also holding a Community Day at our factory on Saturday 2nd October 10.00am – 4.00pm at Palatine Beds, Stamfordham Road, Westerhope. We will be arranging transport from Newburn to Westerhope for anyone without their own car. 

The Community Day activities will include a Newcastle Eagles basketball competition, Newcastle United Foundation football competition, Gateshead Thunder skills zone, Sendai Karate demonstration, Rookie Golf, bouncy castles, face painters, grow your own vegetables stand, catering and refreshments.
