YHN properties in the Scotswood area are managed by by staff in the Benwell and Scotswood housing office in the West End Customer Service Centre on Condercum Road.

There are around 750 YHN properties in this area although there are many owner-occupied and privately rented properties in the north section of the neighbourhood. 

Major regeneration work is underway in the area - some properties have been demolished to make space for new homes and services.

The Scotswood area also benefits from a Community Caretaker who is based at Scotswood Community Housing Office (Graeme Douglas, pictured above). 

Graeme spends his days doing everything from litter picking to changing lightbulbs in the community centre.
