YHN goes digital!

YHN is pleased to announce the launch
of its brand new digital TV channel!
Customers can now access information about YHN services any time
of the day or night, for free, thanks to the introduction of a new
digital TV service, which is available to customers who have Sky or
Virgin Media interactive TV packages.
As well as information about how to find a home, pay your rent
or report a repair, the channel provides advice about how to access
other YHN services, including sheltered housing, Community Care
Alarm Service, Newcastle Furniture Service and the Housing Anti
Social Behaviour and Enforcement Team.
You can also get in touch with us using the interactive Contact
Us form at a time that suits you, even when your local Community
Housing Office is closed.
How can I access the channel?
The service is found on the Looking Local portal and is linked
to DirectGov, the government’s public services information service,
allowing you to search for jobs, get the latest transport and
traffic updates and to access information about NHS Choices.

Wilf Keilty, Head of Customer Service and Improvement for Your
Homes Newcastle, said:
“It is very important to YHN that we give
our customers as many ways as possible to find out information
about our services and communicate with us. The digital TV channel
allows customers with interactive Sky or Virgin Media TV packages
the chance to access information and make contact with us from the
comfort of their own home, even if they don’t have a computer or
internet access.”
