Number 1 Neighbour Awards 2009

Each year, Your Homes Newcastle celebrates the
generosity and selflessness of people from across the North East
with our Number 1 Neighbour Awards, recognising those people
who dedicate their time to helping others and making their
communities better places to live.
This year was no exception and the deserving winners were
recognised at a stylish, Oscar-like ceremony at the Centre for
Life, hosted by celebrity guest Kathy Secker, on Thursday 24th
September.
At the ceremony Kathy Secker, said,
“We are here to recognise the
neighbourly spirit that exists across the region and to commend the
selfless acts of kindness demonstrated by you all. The nominations
received into this year’s award scheme have been tremendous and
just go to show how much neighbours mean to each other.”
We couldn’t have put it better ourselves! So all that remains is
for us to say congratulations to all of this year’s winners, and
indeed nominees. The awards couldn’t exist without you so read on
