Moving day for Riverside Dene residents

Work began last year to transform the old tower blocks at Cruddas
Park into modern, stylish homes. The Sycamores is the first
block to be finished and tenants were able to move into their new
homes throughout May.
The block has been given a complete update, with cream render on
the external walls and landscaping works to the surrounding green
areas. The entrance hall has been expanded and improved, and
the flats themselves have been modernised with new kitchens,
bathrooms and electrical upgrades. Floor-to-ceiling windows
have also been fitted to make the flats light, airy and modern.
Pam Stoves has now moved into her new duplex flat in The
Sycamores from her old flat in the neighbouring block The
Beeches.
‘I love my new pad in The Sycamores – the
open plan living is lovely, and the duplex design makes it feel
like I live in a big house. The whole block is warm and
welcoming, and there’s a great sense of community spirit. I
definitely feel at home here.”
Housing Services Manager in Cruddas Park Brian Dixon said:
“It’s a great pleasure to see people move
from the old flats into the new block. We wish them well in
their new homes.”
