Colwyne and Moulton Place, Blakelaw

This site at Blakelaw previously accommodated six blocks of two storey deck access flats which were unpopular and unattractive.  The flats were targeted by vandalism and anti-social behaviour.  The properties were subsequently decanted and demolished.  Working in partnership with Keepmoat Homes, YHN is now developing a mixed tenure New Build development comprising of 98 units.  All properties are being built to Code 4 of Sustainable Homes with two properties piloting Code 5 and 6.  Within the 41 the affordable units, YHN is offering 9 properties for shared ownership.

Progress

Keepmoat Homes are currently on site and the affordable properties are due for completion at the end of 2011.  All social rented properties are now allocated and YHN are in the processing of advertising our shared ownership properties.  If you are interested and want to know more about shared ownership, click on this link:
