Equality Impact Assessments
The Equality Impact and Needs Assessments process makes
sure that we think carefully about the likely impact of our
policies, procedures, strategies or services. They help us to
identify any needs that have not been met and provide a basis for
us to make improvements where appropriate.
Their key purpose is to make sure that a proposed policy or
service doesn't affect individuals or groups unfavourably. If
anything is identified we must take action to remedy the issue or
improve the situation for those groups that are most
