YHN's dedicated Equality and Diversity Unit is based within the Chief Executive's Office and works to embed equality and diversity into YHN and everything that we do.

We assist in ensuring the organisation's commitment to equality and diversity goes far wider than our legislative obligations. The ultimate aim is to ensure that our commitment to equality and diversity is rooted in the core values of everything we do.

We also facilitate the implementation of policies, practices and procedures that actively promote equality, diversity and human rights.  We work hard to support the elimination of barriers that prevent equality for all of our employees and customers.

We will achieve this by focusing on the organisation's four objectives:
